Execution of investment in 0CONNEXX SYSTEMS
CONNEXX SYSTEMS is a venture company dedicated to the development and deployment of unique and innovative energy storage technologies that could revolutionize future energy systems. The company's proprietary technologies include BIND Battery™, a hybrid energy storage technology that integrates multiple different batteries as a chemical system; HYPER Battery™, which achieves unprecedented high rate of charge and discharge performance; and SHUTTLE Battery™, a rechargeable battery fueled by iron and air.

In particular, the SHUTTLE Battery™ is an all-solid-state battery that combines a solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) with an iron-air battery for high-temperature operation, and is expected to be applied to large-scale power storage systems and mobile devices that require long-term and large-scale load leveling. The company is currently conducting research and development on SOFC membrane efficiency and thermal design of power generation systems in collaboration with a research group led by Associate Professor Yutaka Iwai of the Thermal Engineering Laboratory, Graduate School of Engineering, Kyoto University.

Kyoto iCAP continues to have high expectations for the potential of Kyoto University's research results to contribute to solving energy and environmental problems, and has responded to a third-party allocation of 100 million yen in total, together with Eight Roads Ventures Japan, ASIA RISING STAR INVESTMENT, Mizuho Capital, and Senshu Ikeda Capital, each managed by a different fund. The company has invested 100 million yen in a third-party allocation of new shares totaling 1 billion yen.
